Thinglink is an app that makes pictures come alive by adding videos, other images, and text. The PDF file above will describe and show you how to use all of the features within the app.
To be able to use Thinglink you will have to create an account with either your email, Facebook, twitter, or google plus. Once you have created an account you will be brought to the home screen where you will see sample thinglink images created by other users.
At the top left of the home screen there will be a button that will open up the menu and give you all of your options.
Before you decide to use thinglink for an assignment in class you should create a channel for your students work to be stored in.To do this hit the "Add new" button and choose a name for it. The chanel will then show up below the "Add new" button. Once the channel is created it will be empty until images are added.
To create your own image choose the button "My Uploads," then it will take you to a screen that says "my thinglink images." Then in the top right hand corner hit the plus button and it will take you to your photos so you can choose a back ground.
Once you have chosen a back ground image it will appear on the screen and it give you the option to add a title to it at the bottom. Once you have added a title you can hit save in the top right corner and then it will take you to the section where you will be able to add your information.
To add information to the image you simply have to tap the screen and an icon will appear.
You can add text, images, and video. All of these can be added by simply just tapping the screen in different areas.
Different symbols appear for different types of media.

Once you are done adding information hit save in the top right corner and your image will appear under the category of "My Thinklink Images."
If you are an educator and would like to create account for your students then follow these next steps.
To do so you will need to login to the web version of thinglink. www.thinglink.com
Once you login to the website you will be able to add students.
To do this you will need to choose the button students at the top of your screen.
Once you have choose students you will be given the option to "CREATE GROUP." Once you have chosen that, you will be given two options. Manage Group or Register Students, choose Register students.
When you get to this stage the instructions will be listed at the side of the screen.
Once you have registered all of the students you will need to print out the usernames and passwords, to give to the students.
Finally once all of the students are registered you can get started.
